I've been very busy producing concept art recently, but unfortunately I can not release any of the designs I've made yet. Which has been why I've not posted on the blog for a while. I had a little window of free time today so I decided to create a mesh I could use in future designs.
Had another go at redesigning S.T.A.L.K.E.R, still havent got round to playing it but its always fun doing the post apocalypse. Though is still fantastical I wanted to try and inject a little realism, so I added the idea of plants with super accelerated growth.
This is the last painting I did in 2013. I started this blog in October 2009, its been a strange constant in the last six years of my life and its got a bit of a sentimental attachment about it now for me at least. I recently created a more professional portfolio style blog HERE to show to employer's, which I would like to think lets me go back to using this blog as a blog, rather than being worried about what potential employers might think about me rambling on about things they don't really care to know about.
The context for this image matches that statement, the project was never intended to meet public criticism in terms of its context, it was always a way for me to blow some artistic steam off during the winter holidays when I was in education, and this winter I decided to carry on the tradition because painting as a concept artist year round gets a bit stale, so for a month or so I'm going to dedicate a little bit of every winter to this project, which is about as optimistic as I get really.
